What should be done with Jews who convert to Islam?

 What should be done with Israeli Jews who convert to Islam, a religion that has declared war on us?

Converts to Islam have committed treason against their own people, religion, and heritage.

Should this go unpunished?

    They should lose their Israeli citizenship and permanently be barred from entering the country.

Maybe their parents should be publicly beaten.  After all, if they were raised correctly they wouldn't convert!  :::D

Ok, so maybe that's a little harsh.  People don't always do what their parents want no matter how hard their parents try. 

I just can't understand converting away from Judaism though.  I mean why on Earth would you?
