It is also interesting to read through IHEU "ambushed" at Human Rights Council that reports about an incident 13 March 2008 where Pakistan/Egypt deletages tried to stop Roy Brown (IHEU delegate) from making the statement that the 1990 Cairo Declaration of "Human Rights" in Islam is by no means compatible with the Universal Human Rights that were declared in 1948. The pakistan delegate said: "It is insulting for our faith to discuss Shari'a here in this forum!". The scene can be viewed on video here.
