Caffeine is consumed in order to produce a specific response in the body, that of higher alertness. Therefore it is a drug. That doesn't necessarily make it bad though.

You are absolutely right. A mild drug is still a drug and I think that it's silly how many people are addicted to it. But who cares, coffee tastes like ashes and for that alone I want no part of it!

I don't drink it very often but I do sometimes and good coffee tastes good. I like pecan flavored coffee.

I drink an entire 8 cup put full of perked coffee each day black no milk or sugar...  :dance: I use a paper filter in the pot to catch some of the oils... If the coffee tastes like ashes your not making it right :::D... G-d willing coffee drinking will not become overly trendy and drive the prices up like was done to my hand made cigars  back in the 1990's  >:(

If you really want a high class experience you should go with Lyons filter coffee.
None of that  instant garbage.

Poured fresh and hot from the pot, two sugars, creamy milk.
