It just does not work as well. What takes a few seconds with a real blade takes about a minute with the electric shaver. I never let my beard get long enough for the thing on the back to ever have any use anyway.

well if it's so short that the thing on the back is no use, then what's the point of shaving it off?

I guess if a beard doesn't suit you at all.. then maybe one would remove it.

if that's what I think it is.  Hair clippers like barbers or consumers attach things to to cut hair short.

And you detach the plastic thing off of it. So you get a really close haircut
 
is that any different from the thing that pops out the back of a shaver?

I had only thought of those WAHL clippers for cutting regular head hair, but I guess they could work on a beard, it seems te same as the thing on the back of a shaver. Except the WAHL clippers let you attach things and cut regular head hair.

I doubt that it is.

I assume the back of a shaver is ok. I used it and have mentioned it many times in thsi thread, and nobody said it's not ok.
