It seems that Senator Obama's Old party was called the New Party. The party was a Marxist Political coalition. This was not a guilt by association thing. Senator Obama sought out their nomination. He was successful in obtaining that endorsement, and he used a number of New Party volunteers as campaign workers.

His mother as far as I know is Christian and Obama belongs to the United Church of Christ.

No, he is not my ideal candidate, but I am not fond of conspiracy theories.

Let's be honest; NONE OF THE CANDIDATES ARE ANTI-ISLAM, they are all just anti-terrorist, they simply have different approaches to it. McCain for instance would still hypocritically ally with Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries. In all honesty, none of the candidates are going to take a stand against all Muslims.

So none of them are "ideal" to me. The Iraq war is all about saving Muslims from other Muslims so I don't want anything to do with it.

Obama can definetely cite Quran verses in fluent Arabic, lived in Indonesia and said that the sound of the muezzin in one of the most beautiful sounds that you can hear at sunset. That are all issues that have been affirmed by friends of Obama that tried to defend him.

To be honest if I were to think of a conspiracy theory to hide the hypothetical fact of Obama being Islamic I would leave Islam out of it completely. And the fact he is liberal on social issues like homosexuality should be proof that he is un-Islamic.

I find that quite unusual, though I do know that the United Church of Christ is a very unorthodox institution.

Rev. Wright insinuated (with a bible verse) that Mohammed was send by g-d to lead the Muslims into heaven. Of course he didn't mention that there is a more logic explanation for that verse and that there are some verses that explicitly say that false prophets will arise an do what Mohammed did and that everybody that would do what Mohammed did is a false prophet.

But, still, it doesn't prove Barak is a Muslim.

And if he does indeed turn out to be one, then well, he'd be a very liberal and half-assed one. Has anyone seen him pray five times a day? Yeah, he'd be as much a Muslim as the typical Albanian.
