Who is your favorite Republican?
« on: June 04, 2008, 08:40:39 PM »
Of all the current members of the GOP, who do you like best?  Obviously the party has become weak and inept, but a few good ones remain.  Mine is Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama.  One the good 'ol boys that we here in the Southeast prefer running things.

TEDDY ROOSEVELT. Today: I see NO person TRULY fighting for our Contitution.  Teddy Roosevelt was the BEST Repub., and the finest man- If he were alive today, all of the LEFT would have jail-time for sedition during wartime, and a fine of $10,000.  THAT would make ME very HAPPY.

I also vote for Jeff Sessions; but his serving in a "rubber stamp" Senate under Bush has definitely taken some of the "shine" off of his halo.

He has made himself an accomplice to the destruction of the Constitution and The Bill of Rights by his remaining in the Senate, and this is a violation of his Oath of Office to which he swore:  to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic.

Funny thing how a little power corrupts even the stalwart and steady.

Tom Tancredo.

Roosevelt was progessive. Progressive is a pretty word for scum. Not to mention he wasn't even a Republican due to his civilization being white Germanic people and savages being colored.

Sounds pretty accurate, but I'd include other types of whites as well.  O0

This isn't always true, there are some civilized nonwhites and some scummy whites, but in general whites have better culture.

Duncan Hunter.

Didn't Reagan abandon some of his conservative principles?  Reagan's administration send troops to Lebanon which benefited the PLO.
And it was Reagan's administration that had Casper Weinberger as its defense secretary.

Those of you who said Reagan should re-consider.

Reagan had an 8 year career as president... and yes... he like every other president took misteps... the most famous was the Iran Contra scandal.

HOWEVER,  he also accomplished more than any other statesman in the last 50 years on this entire planet.  he was obsessively against the 'evil empire' and he therefore took aggressive offensive measures that NO OTHER individual would've dare taken.  Everything he did in the first few years seemed like political suicide.. but he didnt care... All he wanted was to do was win the cold war.

Gorbachev has admited on several occasions that it was Reagans policies that bankrupted the USSR.   He put them in an arms race they couldn't win, and when all US intelligence pointed to the USSR's economy about to collapse, he pulled out the SDI, which frightened Gorbachav to the point that he offered to completely end his countrys nuke program as long as Reagan end the SDI.  But he resisted, and the USSR fell into complete economic and political chaos.

Unfortunately... since the end of his career... all of our politicians have been worthless do-nothing traitors.  And Im only hoping that in the next few decades, another Reagan comes around to clean up the mess that the world has gotten itself into.

Reagan's Secretary of Defense was very anti-Israel and he kept lying about Pollard which caused him to get his long jail sentence.

Reagan abandoned some of his conservative principles to the elitist globalists.

Reagan abandoned some of his conservative principles to the elitist globalists.

Your really focusing on small issues and ignoring larger ones.  Reagan was the most righteous, pro-zionist GOP leader to-date, and a sharp contrast to the Jew-hating carter.   Before Reagan, 90% of Jews were Democrats (Including pretty much all my family).  Even democrats will admit that Reagan was the key that changed the Republican party to a zionist-friendly party.

Yes. there were plenty of GOP leaders who stuck to the old anti-zionist ways who werent purged from the leadership.  But his anti-communist stance and strong righteous views became very popular with Jews and Israelis, and signaled a sharp change in the GOP's world-view.

Yes, Reagan did compromise on certain globalist issues... but in contrast to ANY other recent candidate... he had FAR more integrity.

I'm a bit fond of Duncan D. Hunter, the son of Duncan Hunter.  He's conservative and young- something lacking in most youth today.
