  Wolf-
I loved R.R. Those were good times in the USA, we dressed beautiful, we listened to happy songs, I didnt kn ow anyone that purposely went out and acted stupid, there were flags everywhere, the troops looked so exc., everyone wanted to look like Joan Collins- it was CLASSY, PANACHE', PIZZAZ, and glitzy- we had our OWN style that wasnt robbed off of another decade, (music either) girls looked like girls- we kept in good shape- we ate out, we laughed.

We were NOT WORRIED ABOUT A muZLIM BECOMING PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:(

MasterWolf,

With all due respect:

--Reagan was responsible for railroading Pollard.
--Reagan was responsible for railroading Chaim Ben Pesach.
--Reagan was responsible for popularizing the outsourcing of our jobs (especially manufacturing). At the time, he was the most pro-corporate president in history (now way outdone by Dubya)
--He screwed over those air-traffic controllers who wanted decent wages/benefits.
--He railroaded white South Africa when it needed strong American leadership and support the most.
--He sent the Marines into Lebanon to fight Israel and protect the PLO and Lebanese Muslims.
--He was the most pro-Saudi president in history at the time (now outdone by Dubya, of course) and was the most responsible of any president in entangling our country with that beastly "royal family" and enslaving us to their oil.
--He paid homage to the SS at the Bitburg cemetery in Germany in an effort to kiss up to those NATO Nazis.
--He was enthusiastically pro-illegal and masterminded the first-ever amnesty.

I could go on but I think you all get the picture. Reagan was not the worst president ever, but he was a very evil man who G-d thankfully punished with a horrific death from Alzheimer's and a subsequent stay in Gehenom.

I don't think so. Even his role in ending the Cold War was highly overrated. The Soviet Union did not collapse because of him--it collapsed because it was internally broke and decayed (this was before Russia realized how much it could take advantage of its oil and natural gas). The side-by-side military comparisons of the late '80s are not flattering to the late and unlamented Gipper: up to nearly the collapse of the Soviet empire, the Russians were building 2.5 times the fighter jets we were, for example. Reagan deserves credit for ending the Soviet Union (which as we see today, was more like a hiatus of the Soviet Union) like the ADL deserves credit for freeing Soviet Jews.

Ronald  Reagan was a decent man - not perfect - decent.
We could use more decency in politics

He wasn't that good of a president. I mean he's better than Bush 1 and 2 and Bill Clinton but still he was far from perfect.

Yep.

I thought this thread was about George Washington.

Still, I'd rather have Reagan in the White House than either of those two clowns.

C.F. :  "--Reagan was responsible..."

HE MOST CERTAINLY WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THOSE CRIMES AND A FEW MORE BESIDES.

REAGAN WAS A NICE GUY, PRESENTED A GREAT PRESIDENTIAL IMAGE, DELIVERED WITH ORATORY, AND HAD A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR.

WHAT ELSE IS THERE GOOD ABOUT HIM?

HE DID HIS SHARE OF INVADING A FEW BANANA REPUBLICS ALSO.

SURROUNDED HIMSELF WITH VILE JEW-HATERS AND ARABISTS  LIKE BUCHANAN AND CASPER WEINBERGER, BAKER, THE WHOLE GANG OF MISCREANTS WHO SEEM TO HAVE HIJACKED THE U.S. GOVERNMENT.

WHATEVER. WHATEVER. I know what I remember with Reagan. This nation was CLEARLY a different place.  I believe if we did get someone REALLY GREAT- people would find something crappy about him too- obviously NOBODY IS EVER SATISFIED.  So, since people make out Presidents being "kings", now you will get OBAMA. HOPE YOU ARE ALL HAPPY.

And I will say it again, (IF) we were to get someone great- people would look for the bad- and thats a fact. I was in my early 20's when Reagan was in office and younger- I knew NOBODY that had the ISSUES we have today.

Reagan didn't do anything to stop the slide to black or feminazi hell. He merely maintained the status quo for eight years, at best. He certainly did nothing to save white South Africa/Rhodesia.

Wow CF.   You are completely ignoring the good he did... and focusing on only the bad.   You could do this with ANY president.  Don't believe me??... tell me a president that you think is the best... and I will tear him apart.

BTW... I could take the WORST president ever (Jimmy Carter)... and list all the good things he did (ignoring the horrific treasonous destruction he did) and make him look like George Washington.

While this is true...  neither did any other recent president.

The only type of politician that would stop this would be an ultra-nationalist.   And in 3 branches of government we have NONE.

I didn't say he started our entanglement with the Saudis--I said he was the most responsible for expanding them.

And Brian--he was a terrible president who left our country weaker (via outsourcing and dependence on foreign oil) than it was when he took office. He was better than the pig Farter, but barely.

OK...  the guy who made us the MOST dependent on Muslim oil is CARTER (May his soul burn in hell).  It was Carter who first put a gas price cap in 78... and after this catastrophe, he the put in place a windfall profit tax...  (which was in effect till 87 I believe).   It was during this time.. that the Muslims made their biggest gains... since they were now at a HUGE advantage... and our domestic oil production dropped the MOST drastically (As a percentage of total oil production)

ALSO... I blame Clinton for vetoing the ANWR drilling.

As far as outsourcing....  its not a unique Reagan issue and its not a unique USA issue.   Its been growing regardless of who is in the white house, and its been happening in every western country at equal rates regardless of who is in power, and its just as bad in Israel.

The only way to stop outsourcing... is to tax it (Which has been tried and has backfired... as this causes a tradewar)... or to ban trading altogether out of national security.  (I favor the second option).   But again... not a single western country does this.   In fact.. nearly all  European countries trade with no regard whatsoever to their own national security.  They will even trade with Iran... with very few exceptions.

Brian
