Perez, Netenyahu, Sharon, Olmert........why?

I don't understand how the bulk of Israelis vote for Perez, Netenyahu,  Sharon, Olmert.

The govenrment is able to throw Kahanists in jail because it can.

The public is partially at fault here because they allow it.

If the bulk of Israelis were against withdrawals and wanted the Arabs out, they could shut down Israel overnight... and force change.
