cjd, you are right about Golda Meir. Of course any woman Head of State would be well received by the progressive and feminist promulgating West.  Her image is one thing while the deeds are another.  A very good example is that of her and Moshe Dayan during the Yom kippur War.  Of course hindsight is always 20/20.  Israel needs one truly Jewish leader be it man or woman....
