Soul legend Isaac Hayes dies

Soul singer and arranger Isaac Hayes, who won Grammy awards and an Oscar for the theme from the 1971 action film "Shaft," has died, sheriff's officials in Memphis, Tennessee, reported Sunday.

He did Chef's voice on South Park..

but he left a few seasons ago to scientology.

   Was Tom Cruise Jewish? Adam Sandler's Chanuka song had the lyrics "Tom Cruise isn't but I heard his agent is", referring to Jews as rich old pigs. This was before the scientology thing became popular. I'm wondering if Madonna is still doing her fake Kabalah thing.

Seemed like a cool guy.  he was in one my favorite movies, "Escape From New York", where he played the main villain named The Duke.  May he rest in peace.

Which is weird because he didn't leave when they insulted Christians, Jews, Mormons, Muslims whatever.  Only after they made fun of Scientology did he leave.
