The most evil thing about it is that the men of that religion are so arrogant as to believe that they have the potential to be just like God with their own planet to rule over.

They also believe that women don't get salvation on their own but must be married to a Mormon man to be right with God and must have babies for all eternity to populate the man's planet he rules over.

Joseph Smith was into the occult and freemasonry deeply before he started his own religion. This infuses a lot of things in Mormonism.

I'll let Rubystar answer but when I read your question I immediately thought of Austin, TX... It is well known for artists and hippies..

--- Quote ---The 1970s also saw Austin's emergence in the national music scene, with local artists such as Willie Nelson, Asleep at the wheel, and Stevie Ray Vaughan and iconic music venues such as the Armadillo World Headquarters. The long-running television program Austin City Limits and the annual South by Southwest musical festival and the Austin City Limits Festival helped to solidify the city's place in the music industry.[10]
