Arabs like to say that they cannot possibly be anti-Semites, as they are "semitic" people.  Only stupid people buy into this.  Whether they are semitic people or not is irrelevant.  Anti-Semitism does not mean hatred of semitic people, it means hatred of the Jews.  No amount of etymological trickery can change that.

Exactly. The word means "Hatred of Jews" and has no other meaning.
