From the time I was able to vote (1996), i voted for the republican. (Dole, GWB twice and McCain this time)

The first I can remember being interested in the presidency (1984), I supported Reagan, Bush Sr., Tsongas (the first democrat i would have supported if we ran against Bush Sr, but Clinton won that year and therefore supported Bush Sr. over Clinton).

I think the first time i voted was in 1996. Voted for Bob "Viagra" Dole.  After that, GW Bush, and this year, McCain..

I voted for Alan Keyes back when he was running against McCain and Bush for the Republican nomination. Surprised? Oh I also voted for Dole.  ;D

I love Alan Keyes...Why aren't people making a big deal about this guy who is so black that he is almost purple?!

Well when I was younger and it was Bush vs. Gore, my Bubbie always taught me Democrats were great and Republicans were bad, lol. It took a while for me to see that it's not always so. My dad voted for Gore, W. Bush over Kerry, and is doing McCain (obviously). But my Grandma is voting for Obama. Unfortunately she's not in great condition and she lives far away so I can't really do much, and I'm goin to Israel. She has a very weird approach and it's hard enough changing her mind even without her condition.

Tell her you'll vote for her ;)

in 1992, if I was eligible to vote, I would have voted for Tsongas if he won the democrat nominee. After what Bush Sr. did to Israel, myself and my family would have never forgave him.  Unfortunately, Bush Sr. or Clinton made no difference.

Was Tsongas pro-Israel? I was a little kid when he was around so I don't really know much about him.

Bush Sr.  I actually changed my mind on the way to the polls.  I told everyone that I was going to vote for Clinton, and then, in the booth, I had a strange change of heart.  I wonder if this might happen with Obamabots...

You know? I'm not sure...But out of all of the primary candidates he was the best one...on the republican side you had HW Bush and Buchanan..surely, a choice for one of those two or Clinton, Tsongas or some other poor sap...1992 was a bad year...and look what it brought Israel afterwards.
