I'll wait for your response before sending in my absentee ballot. One of the choices is yes or no for Judge Richard B. Orfinger. This is a judge who is vice president of a Temple Beth El. Initially I marked no, but then got a bad feeling that I was discriminating against a fellow Jew, even though he practices a perversion of our faith. If I knew of left wing rulings that he make it would be easy to say no, but if he is just another Jew trying to support a family I don't know if it is right to vote against him. I'm at a loss for what to do. I know the Jews are not supposed to hold political positions in the US, but is it my duty to vote against him? What insight can you provide?

Dear Chaim,
I've heard you speak about free will a number of times, and I believe that we have the power to choose for ourselves whether we will be good or evil. But I'm wondering about something. Do you believe that there are such a thing as sociopaths, that is, people who are born without a conscience? There are some people who do horrific acts and supposedly feel indifferent about it. I wonder if they have a soul.
I'm wondering if there are people out there who are just plain evil, not out of choice, but because G-d made them that way. Maybe G-d put evil people on the planet to test the rest of us? Didn't G-d make Pharoah evil? Is free will universal?
Thanks as always,
Zachor_ve_kavod.
Global Warming is a Hoax:
Dear Chaim, Im sorry I have been a way for soo long but I moved out of New York and now live in Michigan. I think it's really nice here with the beautiful shvartza diversity of detroit and with the beautiful muslim diversity in dearborn I could not ask for a better place to live. Since I havent spoken to you in a while I would like to wish you a belated shana tova. My question is what do you think of the Jewish congressman from Virginia, Eric Cantor. I think he is by far the most right wing congressman considering all the other jews are leftist self hating condom heads and even though he is Jewish, I sort of would not mind seeing him run for the senate seat that is up for election in 2 years. I have a feeling the since he is Jewish you will automatically label him self hating but I suggest you do a little research on him. Kol Tuv.

Ben Yehuda:
Shalom Chaim,
Do you envision an osama administration trying to shut down JTF/VJA and/or make things difficult for members and supporters?
Toda raba,
