An American Carol made $6 million out of a $20 million budget.  Religulous has done slightly better and W with all its publicity will probably do better.  Do you think this just a fluke or is the country leaning towards leftism?

In regards to election, McCain could pull off a win but he has to work his butt off.

It could be all about tv advertising.  W and Religulous were all over the tv and an American Carol just was on previews.

It is only in one theater in BC - I'll watch it. America is fast becoming a degenerate country.

There are currently no theaters available within 25 miles of zip code 90210

It's not playing anywhere around Hollywood, BevHills, Westwood, etc.

There is not enough advertisement of the movie, plain and simple. The only place I heard about it was on the Steve Malzberg show, though I'm sure Savage advertised it as well.

Don't you guys know that satire is only funny when it makes fun of conservatives, and oppressive white men, and Christians?

Of course America isn't going to be interested in seeing this movie.  To be honest, I'm surprised that it even produced and that even some theatres have the courage to show it.  Has America lost its way.  Well take a look at who may be the next president.  Take a look at the public loves Dr. Phil, Oprah, Michael Moore (ym"sh), Al Gore, Al Franken, Woody Allen, Richard Dreyfus, Vanessa Redgrave, Wolf Blitzer, Larry King, Matt Damon, George Clooney...Why I could probably come up with a thousand names.

And then take a look at what the universities have become.  They are all Marxist indoctrination centres.

Has America taken a turn for the left?  You bet it has!

In my area... Ive seen poster after poster, commercial after commercial on 'W'.  Most people have never even heard of 'An American Carol'

This is all about marketing.

BTW... neither movie will do very well.

America is left-wing because it is immoral. We are a nation of fornication (premarital sex), adultery, pornography addictions, strip clubs, infanticide-on-demand, and faggot marriage. The reason why we have lost all our conservatism is because we have lost all of our religious faith. A nation of fornicators is quite naturally going to support leftist and Marxist celebrities.

You can't separate communism or Marxism from promiscuity and from atheism.  They're all connected.

I just came back from seeing the movie. I can see why it didn't do well (besides no advertisement)..

The message is good, and I can't knock it for its good intentions.. but strictly from the point of film making, it was not done well.

Story line was not told well, comedy for 5 year olds, and the acting wasn't so great. I think what I didn't like most was the "comedy", it was pretty bad (some parts were funny, but it didn't make up for the rest)

I've seen much better movies that were made with a much lower budget.

I really don't want to put down the film because it does have great intentions, but it was not done well imho.

That makes sense now...

Briann was right too that W and American Carol didn't do well.
