Remember the days when in order for a president to have a monument erected in his honor, a building named after him or an official holiday, he had to
actuallyshow leadership skills and accomplish something, and this honor would be bestowed decades after their presidency and/or death?
Well say goodbye to those days. I've always asked my grandmother what life was like under Stalin, to live under this incessant cult of personality and heroworship. Now I don't need to ask, because my future and her past are starting to have some Erie parallels.
But if I could make one small request, let's plan Obama day on a date that makes some logical sense, like April 15th.
