@ Rhuan: 2006 is ages away from the original invasion. The civilians killed directly because of the war numbers 50,000 +, non-directly, 98,000.
Whats more, no other country on earth has ever used a nuclear missile at people (let alone 2)

How dare you second guess the United States of America about dropping atomic bombs on a country that savagely attacked us while their diplomats were negotiating with us. This country bombed a viscous enemy that was to stupid to give up even when the war was lost to them. The B29s would have killed more jap civilians in conventional bombing runs it has been proved since the insane japs would not give up to the last. The carnage that Japan caused can in no way even be remotely compaired to the atomic bomb casualties. Japan was a viscous enemy that got what it deserved. If the shoe was on the other foot they would not have hesitated to bomb us. As for the Iraqi civilians most of the casualties are from fellow Muslims.

Something about Peters' screed reeks of:
"Keep those Mohammedan payments coming, and I'll keep these "sympathy editorials
for the poor wonderful "good" Muslims who had their pure religion of faith hijacked by the tiny minority of "terrorists"....therefore the only real enemy we have is "Islam haters"...".
If, by chance, Peters is not "on the take", then he is so stupid and dangerous to America that he should be immediately deported to a hostile Mohammedan country, stripped of U.S. citizenship, and have his passport revoked; in that order.
