Though Stevens was a lying dirtbag, his whole trail, in terms of timing and the actions of the jury, seem suspect.

Stevens was not my favorite, but I hate seeing another Democrat get elected because of the phobia of Republicans.  WEe just have to hope that Minnesota and Georgia stay Republican.

I agree 100% Stevens would have resigned and Sarah Palin would have appointed a Consetative rather then have that Liberal in office for 6 years because we all know Alaska won't re-elect a Liberal. But it will take 6 years to get him out of office.

I never thought of that.  Stevens thought he would still get in.  Had he been a Dem, his trail would have came well after the election and gotten little media attention.  This is what happens when you have a one sided, commie run media.
