Is joyce Brown (billie Boggs)still in New York

I read a few years ago about a homeless black woman named Joyce Brown. I was told she was a  drug addict and that Ed Crotch wanted to commit her because she was nutty but the NYCLU got her out and she continued to run around acting nuts.

I also asked this on Ask JTF. Im asking because I am helping a friend of mine write an article about psychiatric abuse and about homelessness.
