Leader of Lebanese Hezbollah Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah says Israel is doomed to failure despite its massive offensive on the Gaza Strip. Nasrallah said on Wednesday that Hezbollah's movement's victory in the 33-day war against Israel is a lesson of resistance and Hamas will follow suit.
In a televised speech, he said that Hamas has kept rocket attacks despite heavy air raids by Israeli warplanes, a fact indicating that Israel has failed to target rocket launching sites.
"Because of resistance and steadfastness, because of rejecting compromises or surrender, the Gaza strip is already triumphing and Israel witnessing defeat," Nasrallah said.
He added Tel Aviv doubts that he could achieve its goals and therefore even it has avoided declaring its objectives.
Nasrallah also lashed out at Egypt for not opening the Rafah crossing and called on Arab nations to exert pressure on Cairo.
He termed the attack as a tactic adopted by ruling Kadima Party ahead of elections to rally people's support.
The Hezbollah leader said that if Israel launched its ground offensive its defeat would be inevitable.
According to Nasrallah, Israel cannot continue its operation because the election is ahead and Israelis cannot remain in shelters for a long time.
