Ask JTF for Sunday, January 11, 2009.
Xoce:
Shalom Chaim,
Have you written a book/memoir about your days as an activist against the Soviets to help the Jews? If not, why not? I think that your first hand account would be a huge success, and would be very profitable both financially and publicity-wise for the cause of JTF. It could possibly be co-written with someone. You did mention how your acts to save Soviet Jewry, etc are the substance from which movies should be made. Movies may indeed be made out of such a memoir or autobiography.
The prevalence of Jew versus Nazi movies such as "Valkyrie" and "Defiance" out lately, I think you would easily get a book deal with a prominent publisher.
Your story would be in stark contrast with all the fake stories being published lately, i.e. the untrue holocaust-love story hoprah was (again) fooled by. There is, however, no denying that there is a huge demand for heroic Jewish stories.
Abben:
Hello Chaim I have two questions this week I will keep them short. First does David Ben Moshe speak Hebrew? And to my second question: Why do you think black Americans give their children crazy ethnic sounding names for? Yet they keep the American slave names. Thanks and G-D bless.
Zelhar:
Shalom rav Chaim,
I think that anyone who is putting himself in a leader's position is not above criticism. I specifically aim to Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, whose followers are very quick to hush anyone who dares criticize or dispute him by claiming it is forbidden to dispute over 'Daat Torah' of a Gadol like Rabbi Yosef. Some of them may add that it might bring 'Ain Hara עין הרע'. I know you have criticized rabbi Yosef but what about your own rabbi ?
ItalianZionist:
I discovered that one of my friends is an antisemite and even worse, my mother is, but my father isn't. I showed her tapes of your show on QPTV, and she really loves them, but she still shows antisemitism. I used to get into arguments with her about it. What would you suggest I do about the friend and my mother? thanks
Moshe92:
Dear Chaim,
Could you please tell us about your experience learning Hebrew? For how long have you been able to speak Hebrew fluently?
