CROATS BRAG ABOUT THEIR NAZI PAST IN CROATIAN SCHOOLBOOKS!

http://www.srpska-mreza.com/History/ww2/book/domobrans.html

"I will prove that in the 1990s the Croatian Defense Department produced a book, distributed by Croatia's biggest schoolbook company, celebrating the Croatian Ustasha military, including, indeed especially, the Ustashe who volunteered to fight at Stalingrad. Using this book and other evidence I will show that the [Thompson] concert-goers had to understand the meaning of the Nazi salute."

http://www.emperors-clothes.com/croatia/times1.htm

The title page of the book "Croatian Domobranhood in World War II" by Ivan Kosutic, shows that entire new Croatian Goverment stands behind its publication. It says that it was published as a "School book" ("Školska knjiga" - in the original language), i.e. the Ministry of Education of new Independent State of Croatia approves it. Croatian children will learn from this book how brave Nazis the Croats were during WWII.

The book also caries the seal of the Ministry of Defense of Republic of Croatia ("Ministarstvo Odbrane Republike Hrvatske" - in the original).

On the page opposite to this one it says that the book was paid for by the Commercial bank of Zagreb. In other words the ENTIRE Government of Croatia stand behind this book, published in Zagreb [capital of Croatia] in 1992!

Who after seeing this photograph dares say today that "only small fraction of Croatian people supported Nazism during WWII"!?

"CROATS HAVE NO SENSE OF SHAME" said Serbian poet Dučić. How true! The very Nazi government of today's Croatia stands behind this shameless book (which was financed from the main bank in Zagreb). The "School book" shows what kind of "history" are the Croatian children learning in their schools today.

This book is a World Wonder:

The front cover of the book has a picture of Ustasha Nazi decorations. The back cover (and the hard cover front) has the Croat-SS Black Legion emblem. The cover itself is (conveniently) with heavy black background. Black was the color of the Nazis.

Here are some photographs and excerpts of text from the book:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter Title: The establishment and the first days of Independent State of Croatia.

Delirious of joy,
Croat masses wait for entry
of their Nazi German liberators
Pages 38, 39 (excerpts, quote): To celebrate the first anniversary of declaring Independent State of Croatia, Zagreb publisher Petar Pekić, published a book in April 1942 under title "Nastanak NDH" ("The establishment of Independent State of Croatia"). The author [Pekić] was a witness but also a participant of the events. If one is to neglect the necessary political coloring and a few harsh words, the book still records that what is most important and what gives historical significance to what happened in Zagreb in those first days of the independent Croatian state. Here are some excerpts from [Pekić's] book:

Citizens of [Croatian capital] Zagreb woke up in revolutionary spirit on that important April 10 [1941]. With understandable anxiety they anticipated the great events. At the same time they were waiting for arrival of German soldiers as forecasters of their freedom, but also for the resolute show of Ustashas, who were present in the city in larger and larger numbers. And, truly, it happened at the same time. German army, together with Ustasha units... entered Zagreb at 4 in the afternoon, followed by undescribable celebration of joy of the Croatian citizens... Zagreb, dressed in Croatian national and German flags was swimming in an ocean of joy and happiness. Multitudes, waves of people as far as eye could see covered the streets. Delirious of joy, carried by the whirlwind of delight they screamed to freedom of their homeland and their great allies Germany and Italy...

[The] undescribable joy of the Croatian people erupted with such power unprecedented in their entire history. People hugged each other on the streets, kissed each other as tears of joy washed their faces. Everywhere you could hear patriotic songs. Everywhere the people celebrated this glorious holiday; the holiday of the kind the Croatian people was not able to celebrate ever in the past eight centuries. The sudden passage from darkness to sunlight, the never before felt excitement of joy, the shouts of cheer everywhere - and the best sons of the people immediately stepped up to service their free and Independent State of Croatia... The Croatian people with its entire heart and soul engaged in establishing their independent state.
[End of Košutić quoting Pekić's book].

Croatian masses
love their new Nazi state

Who after seeing this photograph dares say today that "only small fraction of Croatian people supported Nazism during WWII"!?

Chapter Title, page 99:

The renewal of the tradition: Domobran-hood.

Page 148 (Photograph subtitle): "Croatian Domobrani Cadets marching through Zagreb streets".

The text at the next page (page 149) explains (quote):

Male chorus of (Domobrani) Cadets was, very frequently, performing under open skies. Mainly at football field HASK.

They were performing chosen march tunes of Croatian musicians. The seats were taken to the last place. The conductor was Mr. Lovro Matacic. This famous conductor and musician had a special success with chorus performance, for that purpose made song: "On to battle"... from Zajc's opera "Nikola Šubić Zrinski". This performance became a part of famous Saltzburgh music performances. A music record, by a German music records company, was made for this happy(!) occasion.

Their marches, the chorus was singing while passing through the town, on its way to the training fields at Gromoščica. Citizens, who knew the times of the marching chorus would pass by, were waiting crowding the streets. Thanking for the pleasure that they experienced, they clapped to the future young officers of the Croatian Domobrani (Ustashi home-guard).
(End quote).

Translator's notice: Oh, wonderful Nazi times! Were they not!? The young Croats singing in Nazi uniforms. What a beautiful sight!

The first heroes of Nazi Croatia
Page 47 (Photograph subtitle): "At Zagreb graveyard Mirogoj (German officers) von Kasche and Glaise von Hostenau are taking their new duties and, in this occasion, are laying wreaths in honor of fallen Croatian Domobrani." (The photograph shows Croatian Nazi Ustashi with their German Nazi allies. The uniforms are almost identical).

Page 46: "Present at the funeral Mr. Slavko Kvaternik, in fancy uniform of Croatian "Citizen Defense"." (The photograph shows Mr. Kvaternik saluting with typical Nazi straight-armed gesture, and Nazi iron cross on his chest).

(Translators notice: Mr. Slavko Kvaternik was the Head Commander of the Military units, the Minister of Domobran-hood and vice-Fuhrer of Croatia).

Page 128 (Photograph subtitle): Flags and military emblems: State flag, Fuhrer's flag, State seal, the flags of Croatian Navy and Croatian Air Force.

(Translator's notice: This same, Nazi insignia was resurrected by Mr. Tudjman's party, in 1990, during the first post-Communist elections in Croatia. Under these symbols Mr. Tudjman won the elections).

Croats volunteer, en masse to SS
Chapter Title (page 167):

Croatian Legionaries at the Eastern Front

Excerpts from page 167 (quote):

The same day German forces attacked Soviet Union on June 22, 1941, Dr. Ante Pavelić called the military and civilian fuhrer-hood of the Independent State of Croatia. He explained to them his view of the events. The question was what Croatia should do in the circumstances. All present, fullheartedly supported the fight of, as said, advanced forces of Europe against Communist danger that is hanging upon the globe.

They agreed. The Independent State of Croatia should not stay aside in that fight. Even more, in agreement with the government of the German Reich, we should see to the ways how Croatia can militarily help its GREAT ally.

Edmund von Hostenau, the representative of the German Army in Zagreb, was informed about this decision. He not only fully agreed with the decisions, but suggested that a letter to Fuhrer should be sent - with proposal about Croatian active participation on the Eastern Front.

Dr. Ante Pavelić did it the next day, June 23, 1941. In his letter The (Croatian) Fuhrer said that he was expressing the wishes of many Croats to get in the fight against enemies of the FREEDOM-LOVING NATIONS and so give their contribution to the NEW ORDER in Europe.

Adolf Hitler answered to the (Croatian) fuhrer's letter on July 1st, 1941, welcoming Croatian readiness to join the fight,...

Already on July 2nd, 1941 the (Croatian) fuhrer gave an Order, both in printed media and on the radio...
(End quote)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Page 168 (Photograph subtitle): "Memory-pin of the Croatian Legionaries, members of 369th army division".

(Translator's notice: A complete order on how the legionary unit should be formed, is given in the book. Well-bodied, pure blooded Croats, ages 20 to 32 will represent the young country. Only the best will be accepted, ... blah.. blah.. Then the author goes into the details of how, and from what towns the units originated. He did not forget to mention the music unit... Then,...)

Page 169: "Legionaries would have on their uniforms, besides German, also Croat symbols: on the helmet, above the left elbow - the emblem of Independent State of Croatia (ISC)."

"The due time for volunteering was July 1941. It was decided that the division would have 3,865 troops... But, by the due time, 9,000(!!!) candidates, SO MANYFOLD above the decided number volunteered. The selection had to be more rigorous..."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Glorious Croat SS
Excerpts from page 170:

"The division was very quickly ready for departure to Germany. There it will get ready for the battlefield. Military leader Mr. Slavko Kvaternik visited volunteers, before their departure in Varazdin. He wished them, in his own name, and in the name of the Croatian Fuhrer, good luck and success in the battles ahead of them..."

"The farewell to a portion of the division was given by Dr. Ante Pavelić himself... During this celebrations, the volunteers gave an oath ..."

(The author then tells how the troops travelled...)

(From Besarabia) the troops had a forced march 755km long toward Ukraine...

Page 170: "Tough and very demanding trip did not pass without the consequences. Not everyone endured it equally. A few legionaries wondered why did they volunteered to this almost inhumane effort..."

Page 173 (Photograph subtitle): "The forced march, 750 km long, to the battlefield in Ukraine, was the last check of the physical readiness of the Croatian legionaries. Some 170 legionaries of the division 369, did not pass that exhausting exam. They were, thus, returned to the fatherland." (The picture shows Ustashi SS marching).

Page 172: ... "Division 369 immediately got to battle,... In those, first battles they could not get used to something they simply could not understand: fast and easy, massive surrender of the Russian soldiers,..."

(The translator's note: Here I would spare you the warmhearted notes of the brave Croatian (Nazi) soldiers to their Clergy in the fatherland, their diaries about the suffering and bravery sent to their wives, etc., etc. that the author; Mr. Košutić quotes at length. I'll give you only two sentences:)

"The officers were in touch with their comrades in the fatherland. The Cadets that stayed in the fatherland still remembered and loved them."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The personal visit of the Croatian fuhrer (Dr. Ante Pavelich) to the brave fighters is given in detail (with many photographs).

Page 183, Title:

Fuhrer among the Legionaries

Photograph on page 182 shows the arrival of the Croatian Fuhrer; Mr. Pavelich, during his visit to the beloved SS legionaries.

The text on page 184 tries to bring the memories of the event.

Quote:
Dr. Ante Pavelić came to every soldier and shook hands. Then he gave a speech where he underlined "THE GREAT MEANING OF THE CROATIAN LEGION IN THE HISTORY OF THE YOUNG STATE". Then he mentioned the names of all the battles in which, showing their BRAVERY, the legionaries spread the GLORY of the Croatian people across the world. He reminded them of all the sacrifices that Croats did in fight for better and more JUST NEW WORLD ORDER. "And on" he said "We should be that Croatian legion, which, with its bravery and sacrifice got the ADMIRATION of the world". Especially, he said, he regrets that he cannot squeeze hand of EVERY legionary. German military officials, that is, are estimating, that because of the personal security he should not get closer to the battle lines where the Croats are fighting.

Then, after the speech, the fuhrer gave decorations. First, he gave the iron cross to the commander of 369 division... ...
(End quote)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At great many places in the book the author does not hesitate to brag about high quality of Croatian Nazi SS fighters (division 369).

Excerpts from page 178:

(Quote)
During the first year, which division 369 spent in difficult and exhausting battles in Ukraine, the [Croat SS] division earned respect among German and other ALLIES, but also - among the enemy. They fought BRAVELY and with GREAT DISCIPLINE and success. Croatian Legionaries, ALONE, captured some 4,518 Russian soldiers in those battles. Among them there was one general and one high party official. Huge quantities of heavy and light weaponry and ammunition, food and other military equipment were left by Soviet troops that were withdrawing defeated by Croatian legionaries. Members of Croatian legion, very frequently, could not accept all that military material. Thus, lots of it was left abandoned or was simply destroyed.

But, in a a war - both sides are shooting. German superiority in arms and military readiness, Soviets were covering with multitude in people... ...
(End quote)

page 227: (One of the Croatian Nazi officers writes a report what are) "in his opinion, the real reasons for German-Croat failure at Stalingrad, and also wants to take responsibility off the Croats, who are, otherwise, proven as BRAVE, DEVOTED FIGHTERS but are now, obviously, facing TRAGIC end to their participation on the Eastern Front." - says the author of the book - and then quotes the report full of bravery and suffering of the SS Croat fighters.

One of the brave Ustashi commanders was officer Marko Mesić, (shown on page 229) uncle of the last President of "Yugoslavia as we used to know it". Mr. Stipe Mesić was imposed to the position of President of the Presidency of collapsing Federal Yugoslavia (in 1991). The European Community insisted on it - in the name of "stabilization of the crisis".

The author then goes on to show Croatian contribution to the fascist Italians (on page 249). The Italians fascists were upset that Croats are volunteering to fight for Nazi Germans but not for Italians... But Croats were always good collborationists and they oblige to fight in Italian uniforms but under their own flag.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The last chapter which takes less than one tenth of the entire book starts at page 257. The author gave it the title:

BANDITRY, MUTINY, UPRISING

The author expresses his shock at the similarity between the events in 1941 and in 1991. He says that even the same "Crisis Areas" were involved - those with majority Serbian population.

Photograph on page 269 shows a broken railroad track with a huge rock on it also. The caption translates: "REBEL diversion on the railroad track Gracac-Knin, summer 1941."

Hey, history is repeating itself to the smallest details: Croats are (once again) supporting an advanced New World Order (fascism) and the local Serbs are again: rebels. "Serbische banditen" as German Nazi would then (and now) call them.

Croatian no-backbone politicians always knew which way to take the Croatian people (which as a rule follow them - en masse):
1) During WWII the Croats were the bravest (acording to this book), the most gruesome Nazi (acording to the rest of the world).
2) During the Communist times they were the best (the most cruel), Communists. For decades Yugoslavia was under strict control of Tito, a Croat...

Photograph on page 272 shows ruined houses. The caption translates: "Ruins left after rebel atrocities".

The "rebels" were the anti-fascists.

And more: Photograph on page 292 shows a broken bridge in Foca (Bosnia). The caption translates: "Destroyed bridge in Foca. Foca was LIBERATED in mid 1942 by Croatian armed forces!!!"

AND (in 300 pages) NOT ONE WORD ABOUT USTASHI ATROCITIES!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

REVIEW (by P. Makara):

There you have it: Anti-fascist fighters are - rebels. Fascists are nice, brave people who, from time to time had to liberate towns from rebel Serbs. Just like today. According to fascist Western press.

WHAT A GREAT BOOK!!! Just look at this official book of the Croat government and compare these photographs of Nazi Croats in WWII and uniforms of fighters of "democratic Croatia" from an "unbiased" Western newspaper (like New York Times). Compare the flags... Would you find a difference? No chance!

WHAT A GREAT BOOK!!! I hope Germans will also collect courage and raise their flag with swastika and make school books about their bravery and humanism in WWII.

Who cares about history in the Western world? In American English it is a dirty word used only (but every night) when someone is (on the TV screen or in real life) is to "waste someone", "ditch him/her" or "blow his/her brains out". The murderer will then utter the phrase: YOU ARE HISTORY!

German Nazi had to burn books. (People used to read books then). Now, there is no need. Everyone is watching TV. No-one is reading OLD books. (New books are, as we see, made to fit the current political correctness. It is OK to praise "democracy" of Nazi Croats and it is OK to bash Serbs...)

But I have to mention, once again, a few experts from old, respectable (not burned yet) sources you can find in the local library.

This is what the Croat author (who admits to have been member of Nazi Croat units during WWII) "forgot" to mention: Croats were the worst Nazi the world had known
