Obama just appointed Ron Sims to the 2nd in command at HUD. Even the far left said he was inept and out of touch.

King County Executive Sims Nominated For HUD Job
February 3, 2009

King County Executive Ron Sims says the chance to
be deputy secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban
Development is an opportunity he couldn't pass up.
President Barack Obama is nominating Sims for the No. 2 job, in
charge day-to-day operations, at the agency that has a $39 billion
annual operating budget and 8,500 employees. His nomination
requires approval by the U.S. Senate.
Obama named New York City housing commissioner Shaun Donovan to
head the department. Donovan likes Sims' experience running a large
urban government. King County government has a work force of over
13,000 and an annual budget of $4.4 billion.
When Sims goes to Washington, D.C., he's asking the county
council to appoint a caretaker executive until the election in
November.
Sims is a former county councilman who was appointed executive
in 1996 after Gary Locke was elected governor. Sims kept the job
through three elections.

Gov. Chris Gregoire today released the following statement on Ron Sims nomination for deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD):

"I would like to share my utmost congratulations to Ron on this extraordinary national leadership opportunity. Ron's many years of experience managing the 13th largest county in the United States will serve him well as under-secretary of HUD.
"While it is bittersweet to see my friend Ron leave our great state, he will be a wonderful representative of the Northwest in the other Washington. This is a challenging time for the housing sector and Ron is the right person to ensure people have stable affordable housing during these difficult times. His diverse array of skills and dynamic spirit will make him an invaluable advocate for HUD."

Literally a couple days after 9-11 he made a speech in downtown Seattle not stressing how bad it was but his concern about how Muslims would be treated. When he talked about Muslims, then he became emotional.   I can't tell you what an evil gargoyle this affirmative action flunkie is.

I would not be surprised if WA governor Christine Gregoire is now also on Obama's quick list.
