SavetheWest:
Chaim,
What was your immediate reaction when Obama won the election?
eb22:
Shalom Chaim,
Was there a U.S. Presidential Election ( s ) that you decided that the choices were totally horrific and as a result felt the best option was not to vote for any of the choices? If the answer is no, which election was the one that you came closest to deciding that it was best not to vote for any of the choices?
Thanks as always, eb22.
Confederate Kahanist:
Since I am a recent college graduate with a strong Mathematical background and With the recession going into full swing with an evil administration. I am worried about job prospects as a white male. With the possibility of Affirmative action going into high gear, will it be impossible for me too find a job because I feel as though me along with other whites Asians and Indians will be passed up for jobs for less successful minorities i.e the blacks and Arabs who are less qualified, less experienced and who are lazy along with the fact less and less jobs are open?
Gimatria:
Dear Chaim,
I recently read an article written by a group of sociologists who chronicled widespread instances of cannibalism across the African continent in the last 10 years. This is a true testament to the disgusting and irreversible savagery of the ignorant Africans. What kind of sick people can eat fellow human beings?
Laura Ingraham mentioned on her show yesterday that 48 billion dollars from this "stimulus" package is going to "help AIDS victims in Africa". What a disgrace.
We should send over Al Sharpton, Gerald Nadler, and Gary Ackerman (if we can drag him from his hiding spot under a table in the Chinese restaurants around Queens) to be cannibalized by the Africans they love. That way, we can solve the hunger crises there and get rid of 3 traitors at the same time.
What do you think?
Gimatria
Secularbeliever:
Dear Chaim,
My question today is a bit more esoteric but I think it is important. Most American Jews are more liberal than Jewish and in my opinion do not incorporate Jewish values into their world view. Their predisposition to socialism, gun control, government control of education and the media (which will be a big issue as Obama and the left start trying to shut down conservative talk radio) and high taxes all stem from the fact that they fail to understand the Jewish view of the State.
As we are coming up to Purim it is time to remember that Mordechai refused to bow down to Haman because he was only a man not G-d. I believe that summarizes the Jewish view of the State and why Jews should almost always favor limited government. The more powerful the State the more it assumes G-d like powers. The Communists and the Nazis were the clearest example of this. I think even our own King David, who while generally a great man became corrupted with power, is evidence of this.
Of course on a more practical level a restrained State is less likely to interfere with the practice of religion which should be important to Jews. Is there a definitive Jewish view of the role of the State in the life of people?
