I think that the stock market will not crash. I dont see any reason why this should happen. I hope that the market goes up a lot soon. My stocks are doing just fine right now.

I really dont know what is wrong with people here wishing that the market will crash. Do you realize how many people will be hurt? Obviously your hatred of Obamba far exceeds your compassion for the righteous people who rely on their money. Every day I pray that the market will go up, so I am against those praying it will go down. I have faith that Hashem will do what he has to.

May the market go up once again as it did last year.

I have money in the market through my 401k but I want to see things crash. They have in many ways but it should get worse. The reason is that if the economy does very well, Obamba will get all the credit.  He will then be able to do what he wants and will get a blank check from the Aemrican people.  One of the top things on his agenda will be to sell out Israel among many other evil things.  Israel is in serious trouble anyways but if Obamba has a high approval rating he will feel more bold to meet with Iran and make it very difficult for Israel to bomb them.  As we all know, Israeli leaders care alot about American opinion, even if it started to be anti-semitic.
In regards to America, if Obamba sees short term or even limited success in his plans it gives credibility to everything he does.  Aborton, gun control, larger government, more illegal immigration, higher taxes, decling morality, peace in the face of real threats among many other things.  I think Obamba could have some success because he has billionaires and companies like Microsoft and Hyatt behind him. Obamba is the "first in the door."  He wants to pave the way for future beasts of all types to get power in highest office.  It may pave the way for a even more radical or G-d forbid an openly Muslim president. He wants to lend credibility to failed ideas of marxism, black power and Islamic philosophy. If America can falsely point to a successful black socialist period, then in the future even more failed ideas will be proposed.

If he succeeds then in the long term, America and Israel fail.

The same could be said about Bush. The Economy was the best in my lifetime during Bush... Does Bush get credit for such a great economy? I was worth $2M dollars a year ago. I dont think this theory is valid because the President is not really responsible for the stock market. Clinton cut the deficit the most of any president in recent history and yet it didn't secure a win for Gored.

I dont wish the economy any disruption.

Its not about whether Bush had anything to do with the economy... its about whether people 'perceive' that he had something to do with it.  I can give you example and example.  When the economy crumbles.. the party in power ALWAYS is replaced... its the same around the world.  Give me ONE example in a democracy where this ISNT the case??

BTW... give Newt credit for surplus (We all forget that he was the one who helped shut down the government until Clinton could come up with a budget that was drastically lower).

You are right about perception, I think especially it is the case that the one who gets the blame for the economic downturn loses. BUT, the one who fails to come out of the down turn has a fair chance:
Re-elected during recession: FDR in 1936, Ariel Sharon in 2003, Ramsay MacDonald in the UK elected in 06-1929 and reelected 08-1931.

FDR proves my point very well.  FDR got elected in Nov 1932... which is coincidentally PRECISELY when the world-wide depression hit its bottom.. and the Dems got a near super majority.  And in 1936.... when he was re-elected by a landslide... it looked like everything was on the mend (Which it was happened in the rest of the world). However, in 1937 when we went into a severe second recession. (which the rest of the world did NOT go into), FDR's popularity plummeted, and the GOP took back control of the senate. in 1939, a majority of American's polled said that the New Deal made the depression WORSE, not BETTER.   This is something ignored by the left.

Ramsay MacDonald in the UK elected in 06-1929 and reelected 08-1931.

Another PRIME example of what I was talking about.

when the economy collapsed in the UK in 1930... the people PUNISHED the MacDonald's Labour party like never before.

Ramsay stayed in power by forming an akward coalition with the Conservatives (with the urging King George V).

After the vote in 1931, the results were staggering, 470 Conservatives, 68 Liberals, 65 Labour (13 National Labour (MacDonalds party) , and 52 Labour (Not part of National Coalition))

Labour's disastrous performance at the 1931 election was the WORST EVER... since the Labour party started in the UK.

You are right about that, I should have checked the facts better. The Labour won a mere 52 seat (a loss of -252). I was not aware of this odd story (About Ramsey being ousted by his own party and retaining the Prime minister position nonetheless).

In your defense, I am a bit of a 'great depression' expert.  I have been obsessed with it since I was a child, and I spend a lot of time teaching it as well.  I Always thought it would be neat to actually live through it... and now I am having second thoughts about that. :)

Did you read the book and see the movie Grapes of Wrath? I pray it never happens again. Many years ago my Mother in law told me her parents had to work in the field all day just to put one meal on the table during the great depression. Do you think it is possible we may see the same kind of depression our elders lived through? If so how could that be stopped? Anyone can answer....thank you.

Yes and No.  Yes, we may see the same unemployment that they went through; It is within the realm of possibility.   However, I can't imagine that we would ever live through a famine, unless we go through some sorta apocalypse.  I'm not an agricultural expert, but I'd assume that we are far better now at soil conservation and anti-erosion techniques, and if a similar ecological disaster hit, we would be far better prepared.

The economy is being manipulated so that the EuroCommunists are able to grab the system from within and outside. Then the EuroCommunists will be in a position to make a conglomerate with muslonazi's.
