Crusades don't have a very friendly ring to us.
 the Crusaders of the  middle ages were not noble righteous people but vicious bloodthirtsty ignorant peasants who massacred hundreds of thousands of Jews and practically decimated the entire Jewish communities of the Rhineland and parts of France.
