Global Warming is a Hoax:
Dear Chaim, what do you think of the radio host Mark Levin on WABC. I would not dare ask what you think of Michael "Weiner" Savage cause I think we all know that he's a phony who steals lines from your shows.

eb22:
Shalom Chaim,
I'm interested in your opinion of Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal as a possible future Presidential and/ or Vice Presidential candidate. Both in terms of U.S. domestic issues and U.S. foreign policy issues. I can't recall you discussing Bobby Jindal in any of the past " Ask JTF " programs.
Thanks as always, eb22.
MR VSS:
Shalom Chaim,
What is your opinion of the late Senator Henry "Scoop" Jackson?
May G-D bless JTF and all of its members.
Secularbeliever:
Chaim, it seems like that Israel needs to face a very difficult and key question. Can it afford the loss of US support? It seems like the Government assumes the answer is no and will concede anything to keep it.
From the point of view of the outsider, the Arabs have 99 plus percent of the land, they have 99% of the population and they have the oil. These are not insignificant but beyond that the Arabs offer very little.
Israel needs to have a Manhattan like project to make sure that Israel can survive the loss of American support. A crash program to build a larger domestic arms industry that can provide all of Israel's military needs so that there is not a panic when Obama cuts off helicopters or when Bush cuts off spare parts. As a side benefit this will make other nations indebted to Israel because if the Israelis produce large military items they will probably be superior to what is otherwise available and nations will need Israeli arms.
Israel needs to stop giving away land and further reducing their strategic depth. Every time they give away strategic territory, they hurt themselves in many ways. They have a lower margin of safety. This means they have to attack the enemy sooner if threatened and if history has shown anything they will not get points for having given away territory and then gotten attacked anyway. So they hurt themselves diplomatically in the process despite promises of the opposite result from self hating Jews. With less land as a cushion Israel needs to spend more money on training and arms and needs outside powers to help in its defense (not that they ever do). Now there are international forces in the Sinai and Lebanon supposedly protecting Israel. I would trade all the UN forces for two acres of territory.
Israel needs a crash program in energy alternatives to oil. If they concentrate on improvement in fuel cells they can add quite a bit. They should also build nuclear plants so that 100% of its electricity is generated by non fossil fuel sources. In fact if they have excess power they should start selling electricity to neighboring countries to give them leverage over those nations if they do not behave (in other words do to them what the USA does to Israel).
I just hope someone in Israel is reading this and laughing because they have had such a program in place for 10 years and I don't know about it because it is not public or because I missed the reports of it. Unfortunately I get the impression that the survival plan for Israel is to kiss the feet (and other unpleasant anatomy parts) of American Presidents whether they are relatively friendly (relatively is the key word) such as Bush or a virtual outright enemy such as Hussain.
Philoktetes:
I grew up in a secular household and had a minimal reformed (deformed) Jewish upbringing for a couple of years until I had my Bar Mitzvah and then quit for many decades. I have recently had my religious sensibility awakened through your website. I had a circumcision in the hospital when I was a couple of days old by an ordinary obstetrician; it was not a religious bris. Is there anything that I must do to make it halachically OK or can I stay pat?
