Serbian officials on Wednesday said that members of the separatist Kosovo Albanian police are smuggling weapons into Serbia’s tense south and arming their ethnic kin in order to foment violence.

Four people have been wounded in two separate recent incidents in Serbia’s south.

Senior police official Milorad Veljovic said Serbia has video footage showing the smuggling operation of Kosovo Albanian separatists.

A senior official in Kosovo’s Interior Ministry, Fisnik Rexhepi, dismissed the allegations.

“This is a politically motivated fabrication,” Rexhepi said. “It is the kind of rhetoric that was used in the days of Slobodan Milosevic’s regime.”

In its press news report, Associated Press did not quote a Serbian representative but went out of its way to get 2 sentences from an ethnic Albanian leader sympathetic to violations of sovereign borders of Serbia.

Associated Press says that Rexhepi urged Serbia to hand over any evidence to “Kosovar” authorities. Veljovic said earlier that Serbia will give the video to an EU law and order mission in Kosovo and demand action against those who were filmed.

Serbia’s south was the scene of a Albanian ethnic terrorism in 2000-2001 seeking to join Kosovo after NATO took it over and those countries declared it a country.

Tensions in the area have risen after two policemen were wounded in a grenade attack and a woman and a child were wounded in an explosion.

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said that Serbia expects full cooperation of the international community in fighting terrorism in the southern part of the country.

The police have a tape recording from the Velekince village in the Kosovo municipality of Gnjilane showing the loading of arms, ammunition and military equipment in Mehmeti’s truck.

Head of the Coordinating Body for Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja Milan Markovic said that “It seems that the objective of this terrorist act was to cause disquiet and to compromise the ability and capability of the state organs, and to intimidate the ethnic Albanian population and induce the Serb population to leave Presevo.”

Meanwhile, the so-called prime minister of Kosovo Hashim Thaci said in Pristina on July 14 that Belgrade had begun thinking about recognizing the independence of Kosovo.

“I think you are beginning to see some initial signs from Belgrade. I don’t wish to spoil this with any statements,” Thaci said.

Serbia needs to do what Israel did last year. If only they could. If only Russia had the balls to act and if they had acted in 1999, we'd have our country back. We have to understand that these animals will never quit until they have all of our territory annexed to their illegal independent state. And even then when Kosovo becomes recognized by most of the countries, they'll never be satisified until every last Serb is expelled.

That was under completely different circumstances. It was never an independent state supported by world powers. In a decade or two, there won't be any Serbs left anymore. Realistically speaking, the only way we could take it back is if we take it back by force and that isn't possible anymore.

Firstly, any Serb who thinks negatively about Kosovo not being part of Serbia in the statement itself is self-defeating.
World politics and economy today and 10-15 years ago ain't the same. US is not what it used to be. Troops and wars cost money, national debt is too big, unemployment rising, foreign investments are declining.........while some other countries like Russia, India, China, Brazil (to name a few) are on the rise both in the economic and political influence. Thank G.d that serbs are very friendly with many of these nations. US and even Western Europe influences are actually weakening in the non-g8 countries. While it might not sound optimistic to you, just read up on the history how empires rise & fall and you will see that I am not being extremist or illusional. In addition, all four of these growing economies are almost debt-free and some even have trilions in reserve, they can use that money to influence those that are in big debts. After all, money is everything to most people today (unfortunatelly).



As someone mentioned earlier, Serbs have lost Kosovo before, but still ended up getting it back. When the day comes for Kosovo's return to Serbia,  and it won't be too far down the road. I do hope that once that day comes, Serbs should not try to kill these albanian animals, but rather give them an option to leave peacefully....if they refuse, then...well, we all know what happens next. The idea is to show them that we are more humane and give them a chance to repent and leave with their lives. Only albanians (and their descendants) who can prove that they lived in Kosovo prior to 1941, they would be forced to leave. Of course, very very few will be able to prove such a thing so problem solved without any fighting and not even UN (another evil) can try any international law excuse. Other countries in the world do it, why can't we? So, if they fight with words, you do the same. If they fight with arms (or suicide bombers as many muslims do), you help them meet satan aka Allah as soon as possible.
