It's not entirely impossible, just statistically next to, that he could have been born Islamic but converted to Christianity.

Ask him what he does Christmas this year. Either he will answer or he will say he don't celebrate Christmas.

There are a lot Armenians in my town. They look like Turks or Muslims and they speak also Turkish. But some of them wear a cross (big crosses) and then you can see it. They are also very friendly and helpful. I like them! They are very good people

Mo, if you are really curious, why not ask him what his thoughts are on middle eastern politics.

You could also ask him point blank " what religion are you? "

One other option .... if you suspect he is muslim, just give him dirty looks!

My sister once employed a guy who constantly claimed he was from Malta and that his name waas Fabio. He always "forgot" to bring his documents in order to be registered.
He constantly tried to tell me Jews and Christians were wrong but not condemned if they regretted and became Muslim.
Well, once, I answered "Okay, Mohammad, what is your freakin' point. If you have problems, don't work in Judeo-Christian business and go beack to TUNISIA, where you REALLY come from."
After 2 weeks he still hadn't brought his documents and my sister called the police. And bet: His name was REALLY MUHAMMAD and he REALLY was from TUNISIA!!!!
