I agree completely, reality show and celebrity culture is damaging America. People like to say "if you don't like it, change the channel". But it's pretty hard to ignore when it's becoming so ingrained in our society and in your face all the time (on the web, at the grocery store, in the news etc.) I'm far from being a prude, but it is pretty sickening that most reality shows showcase the worst of human nature (greed, lust, vanity and so on). It certainly doesn't endear us to our enemies, who probably see our cheap and shallow entertainment as an accurate representation of the western world. Just look at our president, probably the biggest reality star of them all. Average Americans will follow anyone with the right look, charisma and entertainment value.
