The producers of the award-winning documentary film, Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West, and its hard-hitting sequel, The Third Jihad, are troubled to learn that the Council Rock High School in Newtown, Pennsylvania, was pressured into dropping Obsession from its lesson plan by its local CAIR chapter.
“Groups such as CAIR have long attempted to silence the debate on radical Islamists and their dangerous ideology,” said Raphael Shore, Executive Producer of both Obsession and The Third Jihad. “If we do not oppose CAIR and stand up for our right for a free and open debate, we will soon find our vibrant democracy creeping toward Sharia Law.”
The undue influence of CAIR and similar groups on our nation’s educational system is documented in The Third Jihad, a feature-length film created to educate the American public about the threat to the country’s freedoms and security posed by radical Islam and ‘Cultural Jihad.’
“We are by no means surprised by CAIR’s latest ploy to squelch the freedom of speech seeing that pressure tactics have become the standard practice of radical installations clothed as non-profit organizations,” added Shore.
“We do not blame the Council Rock superintendent for what happened. Any hardworking individual within the school system would quickly concede to CAIR’s demands in order to avoid being weighed down by the legal action, bad publicity or worse that CAIR might threaten.”
