Israeli Salad

Israeli salad is a finely diced salad of chopped tomato and cucumber. Israelis usually call it Salat Aravi (Arab Salad). Parsley and spring onions are sometimes added, but not lettuce. The salad is usually dressed with fresh lemon juice and olive oil. Often it is served with falafel, but it is also offered as a self-standing side dish or salad. It was one of the components of the traditional Israeli breakfast, before the advent of breakfast cereals.

Despite the name and its popularity in Israel, Israeli salad is also featured in other Mediterranean cuisines. It is similar to the Persian Salad Shirazi, which usually contains mint, and to Choban salad, popular in Turkey.

Israel does'nt really have it's own cuisine.It has Mizrachi ,Sefardi and askanazi food .They really should invent their own cuisine

Çoban Salatası or Choban Salad (Turkish for "Shepherd's Salad") is a Turkish salad. It is one of the most popular salads in Turkey and Northern Cyprus. It is considered by many as light, refreshing and easy to make and is especially popular during summer. It is a combination of finely chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, green peppers and flat-leaf parsley. The dressing consists of a simple mix of lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil and salt.
