For once they're going against Islam, unless the food is non-halal, under strict islam you cannot buy food from Jews or Christians, but are meant to take it (and eat it) for free whenever you can.

We've raised 5k so far for Orphans around the world.

But this is true there are a lot of muslims who only give to suffering muslims. With charities such as "Islamic Relief."

I don't understand that.

I can't remember whether it's toin the quran or the hadiths, probably the hadiths, muslims are forbiden to buy food from Christians and Jews.

However, they are told to take food from Christians and Jews whenever they can, as long as it's Halal of course. So in refusing the relief food they are going against this rule.

Same reason many muslims enjoy music, they don't follow all of the rules in the quran and the hadiths.

Yes but the drums and the A'od, are not unlawful and they are musical instruments. It was also in terms of how they were used....the flute used to be played and the women used to dance for the men at that time and some instruments were used for rituals of the idol worshippers at the time, who used to dance around the Kaabah naked.
