The only promise he has been able to keep is the one to draw down the troops in Iraq - and guess what ?! That was already in the works!!! Bush had already put that ball game into play - but it was dependent upon military/mission accomplishment - not political wish. So lets say that Bush helped Bama keep his promise (or was it a promise he knew was already kept?) - Mr Bama knows nothing about government - all he is doing is dividing this nation - of course that is change isn't it! As a veteran, I feel disgust over his indecision with the mission in Afghanistan and Iraq -- his plan, (Commanders Intent) and mission should have been clear to the Commanders prior to asking their recommendations - and if he had followed thru with the 'War' then he would act upon his ground commanders recommendations. NOT turn around and ask a bunch of chair warmers in the White House. It is plain now - to me and to the troops that his military decisions will be political and not military strategy. And while he is pandering - the military in Afghanistan/Pakistan is having to deal with the DETAINEES he released from GITMO - already recaptured one in Pakistan that was released in August!!!! Wonder how many American and Pakistan troops that one has killed now --- is he going to get another chance to kill again or is it a three times and your out - or maybe a slap on the wrist (OH no - that might be torture!)
