The Indian Chief of Staff, Gen. Deepak Kapoor, has landed on Saturday (November 7) in Israel for an official four day visit, as the guest of the Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi.
The visit is intended to deepen the security cooperation between Israel and India, including mutual updates regarding strategic issues.
During the visit, the Indian Chief of Staff, Gen. Deepak Kapoor, is expected to hold meetings with the Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi. He will also meet with other senior officials in the Defense Ministry and the IDF, including the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Maj. Gen. Benny Gantz. The General will also tour the Southern Command.
Gen. Kapoor will attend a special ceremony in the Yad Vashem memorial, where he will lay flowers in memory of Holocaust victims.
