My impression is that Heavy weight boxing champions would easily defeat an MMA champion. If the MMA fighter could get a hold on the boxer he may be able to wrestle him to submission but I can't see how anyone can get a good grip on say... the young mike tyson.
A former heavyweight boxer has beaten an MMA fighter of the same weight class.
