This was good information. I'm not getting the H1N1 vaccine but I have gotten some flu shots in the past. I hope that those shots will protect me from some of the other strains going around anyway if they haven't changed too much by now.

I'm looking forward to flu season being over. I hate the Spring the most though. Every year during Spring I've gotten sick. It will start out as allergies then I'll get a secondary infection and end up taking antibiotics  :'( :'( :'(

The H1N1 flu is bad but I am not convinced yet that it is appreciably worse than the regular flu. Every year some 36,000 people die from normal influenza. Their cases don't get a lot of coverage.

This spring, my mother and grandmother both caught a very severe case of the flu (both fully recovered, praise Hashem). My mother was nearly deathly ill; my grandmother got very sick, but was never critical. It could have been regular or swine.
