(IsraelNN.com) Corporal Tzach Kurtzi of Kiryat Chaim, who shot the terrorist who attacked people with a knife and an axe in the gas station at the entrance to Kiryat Arba Thursday afternoon, will be presented the "Hero of Israel" award and 1,800 shekels by the World Task Force for Saving the Jewish People.
Corporal Kurtzi said he was on his way home from his base and stopped in Kiryat Arba's bus station, and saw the attack start, not far from him. He said the terrorist had the knife in one hand and the axe in the other. He cocked his weapon and shot at the terrorist and "was aware at that moment that I had saved the lives of a lot of people.
