LOL hahaha, no but if you were 14, that's kind of young to have a teacher interested in you. Especially if he was over 18. I read something about priests that touch little boys, so I thought you were saying you had a problem.

As far as technical ability goes, when I was younger I played lead guitar in a band. That should indicate something.

I'm one of those guys who can play up and down the neck for days and also play lengthy guitar solos, but I grow impatient playing the same bass line for a long duration. Suffice it to say that I've never played in the rhythm section of any band.

I know how to play all of the major and minor chords on the piano because when I composed songs, long ago, I'd go to the piano to get the chords down and lay down the foundation. It's an unorthodox style. Musicians usually start with the drums or bass.

There is a common misconception that anybody can hop on a drum set and start banging away or that the drums is an easy instrument to play, which is pure rubbish. I think that the drums is an incredibly hard instrument to play. Particularly in the context of a band. Timing is everything. It distinguishes a great drummer from everybody else.

I don't own a drum set or a piano anymore.

I know what you're talking about. I took me one hell of a time to learn how to do the timing  Actually, you need to learn how to do the timing in almost every single music instrumet. Drums is not the only "stereotypical" "easy to play" instrument.
Many think that you can just move your fingers fast and "scratch" the strings and you're done. Not at all  Seriously playing guitar proffesionally is way harder than any other instrument. Though the result is the coolest and sounds the nicest.

It was a problem, my older sister was raised "primadona" so I was "supposed to be the boy they wanted.   When your raised a "tomboy" the last thing you want is some guy petting on you!
