Israel's leading daily newspaper, The Jerusalem Post, published a long article on the Ustasha genocide in satellite Croatia by Julia Gorin on February 22, quoting this book as a source.

"This pioneering work takes the reader through more than half a millennium of the rich and tragic history of the Krajina Serbs. They endured an attempt to exterminate them in 1941-45 that horrified even the Germans. Most recently they were ethnically cleansed from Croatia, aided and abetted by the Clinton Administration. Dr. Trifkovic ably shines the light of truth on this, a crime that is still largely ignored in the West." -- Doug Bandow, former Special Assistant to President Reagan

"Dr. Trifkovic has written a long overdue history of the Serbian warrior farmers who for centuries formed the first line of defense against Islamic incursions into Europe. It is a story of heroism and tragedy. It ends with mass expulsion of the Krajina Serbs in 1995 from their ancestral lands, abandoned by their fellow Serbs in Belgrade and former allies abroad. This excellent book is essential reading for anyone who seeks to understand the often complex and violent history of the Balkan powder keg." -- James Bissett, Chairman of The Lord Byron Foundation, former Canadian Ambassador in Yugoslavia

"This comprehensive study provides the best explanation yet of the fact ignored by most media and Western governments during the 1990’s Balkan upheavals: that rather than being bent on conquering the lands of other peoples, the Serbs in what is today’s Republic of Croatia were actually trying to hold on to their historical native soil. It casts light on one of the most egregious violations of human rights that continues to be ignored by the “international community” – the right of the ethnically cleansed Krajina Serbs to return to their homelands." -- Col. Dr. Ronald Hatchett, Co-Founder of The Lord Byron Foundation, Schreiner University, Kerrville, TX

"This book brings together in one short volume episodes of European and South Slav history which are known only in fragmentary form." -- Dr. Michael Stenton, Royal Naval College Britannia, England

I just got this book about a week ago, but haven't read it yet. To me, this book is more personal since my family originated from Krajina.

I would highly recommend Trifkovic's other two books: "Sword Of The Prophet: Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam" and "Defeating Jihad". They are both available on amazon.com. Please get them. You won't regret it.
Sword Of The Prophet is about the history and cruelty of Muslims against us infidels. Defeating Jihad is about stopping Islam expansion and terrorism.

Dr. Trifkovic, in my opinion, is one of the most intelligent people on the planet because all of his writings are based on facts, not fiction. If you get a chance, just read the customer's reviews on amazon.com for those 2 books and you will see that almost every negative review was given by someone whose name sounds islamic, LOL.

An excellent article by Gorin but very disturbing to read. What amazes me is the persistent denial of not just Croats but also some other European Catholics of one of the most barbaric crimes in history. Look at the anti-semitic comments by Catholics about the article. They say they're "offended" by such an article and they can't believe how "hateful" Jews are towards Catholics. What morons!

The big question here is will the Vatican ever have enough guts and heart to admit their involvement in the beastial slaughter of several hundreds of thousands of Serbs and tens of thousands Jews and Gypsies by the Ustasha and make a public apology for the crimes the Croatian Catholic Clergy and Vatican commited in Yugoslavia during WW2? Or will these crimes keep getting buried under the sand and continue to be ignored?
