I think you are right, and also in your previous comment.   Why is it that he picks out when people do something positive to attack their past or something else they did negative?  To promote herd mentality?  I'm not sure his reasons, but the pattern is there.   On the other hand, I do think Yishai makes a mistake to "apologize" about this.   This was an opportunity to assert Jewish pride and independence.   We decide our own laws, we made our decision, and it has nothing to do with biden, we have nothing to apologize about building in our capital.   But he failed to seize that opportunity.  He took the groveling approach.

And from what I know Eli Yishai is actually a talmid chacham and say what you want about his party or stupid moves he might make within the party, but I don't think you can just call a person "drek" like that.

If the claims of some that in fact at least one million plain Ethiopian Blacks are true Jews, and their demand that they should be allowed immediate entry in to Israel were heeded, Oslo in comparision really would become small beer, as Israel would become immediately [censored] like NY, Detroit etc!
