Flotilla activists 'tried to lynch Israeli soldiers'

Activists on a six-ship flotilla headed to the Gaza Strip had planned to lynch the Israeli commandos who stormed the ship, according to indications  at the scene encountered by Israeli forces.

Officials in the Israel Defense Forces told WND that when IDF forces stormed the ship, some participants onboard attempted to grab the Israeli commandos to lynch the forces with rope.

"They were fully prepared to provoke this deadly confrontation," said an IDF official.

"Some of the participants tried to grab our forces while others were standing by with rope," the official said. "The indications are the participants were trying to lynch the Israeli forces."

Earlier today, Israeli navy commandos raided the flotilla, encountering heavy resistance and live fire from the activists. Several activists were killed and dozens were reportedly injured, as were several of the Israeli commandos.

The main flotilla ship was named the MV Rachel Corrie, taking on the namesake of a far-left activist from the International Solidarity Movement who died in 2003 while serving as a human shield to protect a terrorist.

An Al-Jazeera news report yesterday translated by Palestinian Media Watch documented men on the flotilla chanting, "[Remember] Khaibar, Khaibar, oh Jews! The army of Muhammad will return!"

That chant is often used at rallies for Hamas in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Khaibar is the name of the last Jewish village defeated by Muhammad in 628. That battle marked the end of the Jewish presence in Arabia.

Al-Jazeera also interviewed a woman on the flotilla who said that the participants' goal was "one of two happy endings: either Martyrdom or reaching Gaza."

Al-Jazeera reported yesterday flotilla participants announced that they would use "resistance" against Israel.

One of the flotilla passengers is the former Melkite Greek archbishop of Jerusalem, father Hilarion Capucci, who was previously arrested for using his church car service to smuggle explosives, firearms and katyusha rockets into Israel for the PLO. Capucci freed after an appeal from the Vatican.

Israeli Naval Forces intercepted the flotilla and five other ships attempting to break the maritime closure of the Gaza Strip, a territory controlled by Hamas.

An Israel Defense Forces spokesperson told WND commandos boarded the ships after numerous warnings from Israel requesting the ships redirect toward the Israeli port of Ashdod where they would be able to unload their aid supplies, which could then be transferred to the Gaza Strip after undergoing security inspections.

During the boarding of one of the ships, the Marmara, activists onboard attacked IDF Naval personnel with live fire and light weaponry including knives and clubs, the IDF spokesperson said.

Quite a messy situation.  I wonder what the fallout will be.  Turkey has decided to ditch Israel, and is getting more belligerent.  I wonder if the U.S. will throw Israel under the bus?

It is my opinion that all of these recent events involving the Iranian Axis vs Israel must be viewed as the preliminary sparks lighting the fuse of what will inevitably explode into the Great Middle Eastern War of 2010.
Those of you who remember the buildup to the 1967 Six Day War will recognize the script being played out almost exactly the same -- only the names and faces differ this time around.
I am convinced that the outbreak is imminent and will occur this summer.
No one knows what incident will ignite the war, but rest assured it is coming, and very soon.
It could just as easily start today as any other time.
This time, as in every other time, Ha'Shem is in charge of all the details.
There will be an immediate call for youthful and healthy volunteers to be flown from America to Israel to serve in 'backup' positions assisting the military and civilian sectors, so now is a perfect time to make sure your passport and other affairs are in order so that you don't waste time and miss out.

GUYS Garbage Muslims here in my country are Protest of it WTF...

Filipino Muslim rebels, activists protest over Israel flotilla raid
Muslim separatist rebels and activists in the Philippines on Wednesday strongly condemned what they called a brutal attack by Israel on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla that left nine people dead.

The 12,000-strong Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), which has been waging a separatist rebellion since 1978, said Israel's operation on Monday was an "offensive assault on (a) humanitarian mission".

"(The MILF) supports the call for the United Nations to act decisively in the face of Israel's defiance of international law," the group said in a statement.

MILF leader Murad Ebrahim also called on Muslims around the world to unite in their condemnation of Israel's actions.

"May Allah grant the survivors and volunteers the strength and fortitude in facing this tragedy," Ebrahim said.

Dozens of activists also protested outside the heavily guarded Israeli embassy in Manila's Makati financial district on Wednesday, carrying banners criticising both Israel and the United States.

"We join the whole world in condemning in no uncertain terms the Israeli massacre of civilians who participated in the humanitarian mission to bring aid to Gaza," said Renato Reyes, a protest leader and head of a leftist activist group.

"The Israeli terrorist state has again shown that it does not recognise any law, it did not adhere to international norms when it carried out the brutal attack."

They should call themselves moron-islamic front. Bunch of idiots. Just because it were muzzies? What would they have said if, let's say Italy had done the same with Africans of Christian faith?
