What you said about Kirk Douglas may have been true in the past, but from what I have read he has done teshuva later in life.  He now learns Torah on a regular basis and extols the value of doing so for Jewish people.   I don't know if he regrets intermarrying or not, but it's certainly possible he had a paradigm shift that led to his current point of view.   I think it may have been Aish HaTorah that he was learning with and donating to, but I definitely remember reading an article where he took up learning Torah in his old age.

Now I just looked up on wikipedia and it says this under the section on his personal life:
"In 1991, he survived a helicopter crash in which two people died. This sparked a search for meaning, which led him, after much study, to embrace the Judaism in which he was raised. He documented this spiritual journey in his book Climbing the Mountain: My Search for Meaning (2001)."

I am excited to learn from the comments section in that article that Douglas actually starred in a film called "Cast a Giant Shadow" which is about Col. Mickey Marcus who came as a high-ranking American army officer and came and fought for his people with the Israelis in the Independence War.  I was very impressed with Marcus's story when I read about him in Kurtzman's "Genesis 1948."   I must say, his death was very suspicious, but they claim it was a 'friendly fire' incident.

Many things are great on this forum, but I find that Ask JTF tops it all.
Unconventional, always exciting and truthful, at times hilarious, what a brilliant program...
If such a program could be aired in Israel on a large scale, I am sure Chaim's popularity would surge rapidly.
Thank you so much Chaim, your Ask JTF program is really terrific. I am convinced you have the potential to win over a very large audience, unlike some other self-declared "kahanists" who scare people away.
