Taliban terrorists have a secret weapon to destroy the infidel American enemy — monkey marksmen.

According to The People’s Daily in China, the Taliban in Afghanistan is “training monkeys to use weapons to attack American troops.”

The newspaper’s bizarre story says the Islamic insurgents have drafted macaques and baboons to be all that they can be, arming them with AK-47 rifles, machine guns and trench mortars in the Waziristan tribal region near the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The monkeys, being rewarded with bananas and peanuts, are being turned into snipers at a secret Taliban training base.

The newspaper says “photos have been widely spread by media agencies and Web sites across the world.”

One of those sites is the Pakistan Defense Forum, which has pictures of gun-toting monkeys, and makes the wild claim that a monkey-soldier program was first launched by the CIA in Vietnam.

“Today, the Taliban forces have given the American troops some of their own medicine,” The People’s Daily said.

This article obviously "lost something in the translation".

You see, what the Chinese were saying, is that Taliban are actually training schwartzes to shoot guns!

All kidding aside, I don't believe one word of this "report"...it defies all common sense and reads like pure "propaganda" - disinformation spread to make Americans angry enough at the supposed "enemy" to continue supporting a stupid war which can not be won and is bankrupting our country.

p.s. --  anyone familiar with monkeys knows that they are impossible to "train" in this manner...which is exactly why people refer to clownish idiots who are out of control as "acting like a bunch of monkeys".  As a pack they regularly terrorize entire cities all on their own.  They are often vicious and aggressive, and even ones raised in captivity can and will suddenly, and without warning, "turn" on their owners and attack them; often causing severe injuries.  The thought of these 6th Century savages being able to train these beasts as snipers and soldiers is beyond laughable...just plain stupid.  Can any of you think of a good reason that China's government would officially release a "story" like this for Western consumption?  Think about it.
