Arab attacked after speaking to Jew

Victim seriously injured during scuffle at Tiberias gas station.
 
A 23-year-old Arab man was seriously injured Thursday by a 19-year-old after he talked to a Jewish girl outside a gas station in Tiberias, in an argument which quickly turned into a violent scuffle.

Magen David Adom medics arrived at the scene and took the Arab man to Haifa's Rambam Hospital.

 

During the argument, the Jewish youth, who is known to police, proceeded to take a metal object and hit the Arab in the head.

The attacker fled the scene and police were searching the area in attempt to find him.

Police reported that it was still not clear whether the attack had a nationalistic background or if there was a connection between the suspect and the girl
