Some people listen to music to distract them from any pain they might be experiencing. When I was having my wisdom teeth pulled the dentist gave me a discman with the beegees on it to listen to.

Of course, I will pray for you. But if you are in such terrible pain, you should see a doctor as soon as possible.

I agree, unless the doctor told you to stay home and drink water because you have had these 5 times before and you know exactly what they feel like, I recommend waiting this one out in the ER with some demerol and IV fluids pouring into you to flush it out.  Also, if you have blood in your urine which is likely very possible, you are going to want to have that monitored (how much etc)

I will pray for you Paulette.
But do not depend on miracles - go see a doctor if the pain is this terrible, G-D wants you to take care of the body He gave you.

I will be praying for you, Paulette.
JTFenthusiast2 is right about visiting the ED.
They can give you medication to make the pain bearable.

So true, there are times in your life when you need pain medication.
Having a kidney stone is one of them.
I have seen them bring big strong men to their knees.
Please - Paulette - don't suffer in pain.

Paulette,    I hope and pray you are feeling much better today.       Like others have expressed in this thread,    it's best to seek medical treatment.

Sometimes the stone is large and causes problems...Its best to get it checked out because sometimes they do need to be broken up so they can pass. Unless you have had them before and you know they will pass in do time its best to get a doctor to evaluate the situation... Why put yourself through more pain and possible injury then needed... Thoughts and prayers are in the works for a full recovery.

AsheDina, are you sure you're really passing a kidney stone?

The reason I ask is because my brother in law, who always had health problems, also thought he was passing a kidney stone about two months ago.  It turns out he wasn't passing a kidney stone, but that his kidneys were failing.  Anyway, to make a long story short, he now has to be on dialysis, and he's on a list for a kidney transplant.

Please go see your doctor, or go the ER immediately!  I'll pray for you.

Just keep reminding yourself that the pain will pass.  That will help ease it.  Also have you seen a Doctor?  Are you sure it is a kidney stone?
We all need to pray for Barack Obama, may the Lord provide him a safe move back to Chicago in January 2,013.

I had 101 temp., and now down to 99. The fever broke last night.

If there is any obstruction like a stone it can be quickly and painlessly detected nowadays, nothing to worry about but the best and safest thing is to go and see your doctor.
