Experts who watched with horror as an eco-terrorist threatened the lives of workers at the Discovery Channel office complex are calling for answers from former Vice President Al Gore, whose book "Earth in the Balance" and subsequent video "An Inconvenient Truth" warned of a coming horror because of the impact of humans on the Earth and apparently inspired Jason Jay Lee.

Lee was shot and killed by police in Maryland Wednesday after he had taken several employees hostages and apparently was threatening not only their lives but the complex itself with a cache of weapons and explosives.

In a manifesto uncovered as part of the investigation into the attack and posted online by the Washington Post, Lee blamed humans for an impending collapse of life.

"The humans? The planet does not need humans. You MUST KNOW the human population is behind all the pollution and problems in the world, and YET you encourage the exact opposite instead of discouraging human growth and procreation. Surely you MUST ALREADY KNOW this!" Lee wrote. "For every human born, ACRES of wildlife forests must be turned into farmland in order to feed that new addition over the course of 60 to 100 YEARS of that new human's lifespan? THIS IS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE FOREST CREATURES!!!! All human procreation and farming must cease!"

James Delingpole in the London Telegraph observed,"Does this sound like the ravings of a sad, deranged loner on the wilder fringes of eco-fascist lunacy? Not to me it doesn't. Strip away the block capitals and what you have, word for word, is the core manifesto of the entire global green movement."

According to Brian Sussman, an acclaimed and award-winning meteorologist and the author of "Climategate," Lee's rantings sound terrifyingly similar to other writings.

He cited this statement: "One of the effects of the intrusion of industrial society has been that over much of the world traditional controls on population have been thrown out of balance. Hence the population explosion, with all that it implies. … No one knows what will happen as a result of ozone depletion, the greenhouse effect and other environmental problems that cannot yet be foreseen."

That comes from the writings from Ted Kaczynski, the Montana recluse known as the Unabomber now serving life in prison for killing three and injuring dozens in a years-long mail bomb campaign focusing on the environment, Sussman said.

Kaczynski's "copy of 'Earth in the Balance' was dog-eared, underlined, marked and well worn. He obviously saw himself as some sort of 'resistance' fighter," Sussman said.

Sussman also noted another similar writing: The "assault on the earth is breathtaking, and the horrific consequences are occurring so quickly as to defy our capacity to recognize them, comprehend their global implications, and organize an appropriate and timely response. Isolated pockets of resistance fighters who have experienced this juggernaut at first hand have begun to fight back in inspiring but, in the final analysis, woefully inadequate ways."

Sussman identified that as coming from Gore's "Earth in the Balance."

WND calls and e-mails to Gore's press office requesting comment did not produce a response.

Sussman noted Lee's similar comments included: "Focus must be given on how people can live without giving birth to more filthy human children since those new additions continue pollution."

"As I prove in my book, 'Climategate,' Al Gore's writings, films, slideshows, and speeches are filled with deception. And the scam he spews is scary stuff – so scary that many who believe it to be gospel are often compelled to take action. For some the action entails buying a hybrid vehicle they don't need or can't afford. For others, like singer Sheryl Crow, it means using one square of toilet paper at a time – to reduce their carbon footprint," Sussman said.

"For others like Jason Jay Lee it resulted in something unthinkable," Sussman continued. "Al Gore is spewing poison. He needs to be held accountable before some other nut job decides 'to fight back in inspiring but, in the final analysis, woefully inadequate ways.'"

Delingpole added, "Some greens, such as Al Gore, the Prince of Wales, the Hon. Sir Jonathon Porritt or that nice David Attenborough try to express their philosophy more diplomatically. Others, such as James Lee and his kindred spirit the Unabomber, are more forthright. Ideologically, however, there is not a cigarette paper's difference between them. All cleave to the same fundamental tenet of the Church of Climatism: that humans are the problem not the solution."

An MSNBC report cited in the Wall Street Journal documented how following an earlier arrest over his protesting, Lee reported "that he experienced an 'awakening' when he watched former Vice President Al Gore's environmental documentary 'An Inconvenient Truth.'"

That followed, according to the report, Lee's Feb. 21, 2008, arrest on the sixth day of a protest at the same Discovery Channel office building.

According to the Discovery Institute, Lee also urged "the sterilization of 'filthy' human beings and suggests airing 'forums of leading scientists who understand and agree with the Malthus-Darwin science and the problem of human overpopulation.'"

The organization also noted the influence of Darwinism.

"Witness the recent examples of Holocaust Memorial Museum shooter James von Brunn, Columbine High School shooter Eric Harris, Jokela High School shooter Pekka Eric Auvinen. Historical figures who drew inspiration, if indirectly, from Darwinian theory include Charles Manson, Mao Tse-tung, Joseph Stalin, Josef Mengele and, of course, Adolf Hitler," the commentary said.

At a website for the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow, Bonner Cohen wrote that Lee was just "the latest in a long line of eco-terrorists who have killed and maimed innocent people."

"As disturbed as people like Lee and the Unabomber may be, they draw their sustenance from a toxic brew known as Deep Ecology. Although it originated at the outermost fringes of the environmental movement, Deep Ecology is a school of thought that has profoundly influenced environmental activists, including those willing to resort to violence. The brain-child of Norwegian-born philosopher Arne Naess, Deep Ecology rejects the idea that some living things have greater value than others. In 1984, Naess and environmental activist George Sessions put together a Deep Ecology Platform of eight principles, two of which are of particular interest: Present human interference with the nonhuman world is excessive and the situation is rapidly worsening. [and] The flourishing of human life and cultures is compatible with a substantial decrease in human population. The flourishing of nonhuman life requires such a decrease," Cohen wrote.

The report cited the earlier FBI-estimated "600 acts of terrorism" by the Earth Liberation Front and the Animal Liberation Front, including a ski resort fire at Vail, Colo., and the "liberation" of 10,000 minks in Washington state.

"While Gore's controversial documentary does not advocate violence, the film's catastrophic vision of Earth's future and man's alleged role therein, will weigh heavily on the psychologically vulnerable among us," the report said.

Among Lee's other statements:

    * "All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants… in those programs' places, programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility must be pushed."

    * "Civilizations must be exposed for the filth it is. That, and all its disgusting religious-cultural roots and greed."

    * "Talk about ways to disassemble civilization and concentrate the message in finding SOLUTIONS…"

    * "Humans are the most destructive, filthy, pollutive creatures around and are wrecking what's left of the planet with their false morals and breeding culture."

    * "Saving the environment and the remaining species diversity of the planet is now your mindset. Nothing is more important than saving them. The Lions, Tigers, Giraffes, Elephants, Froggies, Turtles, Apes, Raccoons, Beetles, Ants, Sharks, Bears, and, of course, the Squirrels."

The green movement is a bunch of very dangerous people, who btw are in Europe strong supporters of Islam. They do everything in order to destroy the lifes of normal people.
