I think it would be great if you converted to Judaism and made aliyah!  Israel and the Jewish people need many more people like you!  There are far too many self-hating jews out there!  I'm not thrilled with the Israeli government right now, but the U.S is quickly turning into Western Europe, a.k.a a socialist nation dominated by Muslims!  If you want to convert, contact a Rabbi.  It'll probably be easier to do it in Israel, since you can contact the Rabanut and find out which Rabbi is on the "list"- those approved by the rabanut to do conversions.  I'd also check with the religious kibbutzim to find out if they still have conversion programs.
