That's where you're mistaken.   Jewish identity has always been based on a combination of RELIGION and NATION.   It's both, and not one without the other.   Now it is time for you to learn our true history and not the lies that have been sold to you by the Israeli govt, the gentile nations, and your school teachers.   What the nazis call us is irrelevant.  How they define us is irrelevant.   We SELF-DEFINE, like any group does.   And our self-definition has always been either being born from a Jewish mother or a convert.  Anything else, not Jewish.   Like all nations, we have standards for an outsider to join us, and those standards are defined by Judaism - they involve conversion - anything else is not valid.

Self definition is not just one book, its many books and what we manage to achive based not just on one book. The "return after exile", establishment of the jewish state and so on..

I don`t think you correct with this statement, outsiders can join on terms which based on Judaism but that not involving conversion as far as i know. Convertion its a free choise, unless you can explain to me what exactly you mean.

No my "brother", that what defines us as a different group and not primarily as a nationality. Your way of life is what you can chose for yourself, your nationality is something that you (lets just say) born with and can not change. If your mother (for example) Jewish, you can`t replace her by a decision to follow something that is not Judaism.
