Actually, it was closer to ten or twelve million: you left out three million Polish Gentiles, numerous Gypsies, and non-Polish Slavs including Russian war prisoners who were mistreated or killed for being Slavs. Hitler got about seven million of his own people (10 percent of the population) killed in the process as well. Any modern German who admires Hitler should be reminded of this.

Yes. I think a problem in here is that many people think wrong about Germany. The problem are not the few nationalsocialist there, the problem is the politics. Patriotism, for an american just usual, is a bad word in Germany! Of course some people think: this can't be true! Why should patriotism be bad? They look for a patriotic party and they are running in the arms of these NS-guys. A usual patriot in another country is voting for conservatives. But there are no conservatives in this country any more! This is the main problem.
